Methodology
One framework covers every league. Each index has its own methodology that fills in the framework's parameters. Shared policies govern corrections, versioning and cessation. A methodology locks for the duration of a season once the season begins.
Framework
The League Index Framework defines a season index for any professional league: one constituent per club; a Season Share that redeems a fixed amount per regular-season win and $2, $4, $8, $12 and $40 as its club advances; official league standings as the only source of wins, draws and ties; tie, draw, cancellation and cancelled-round rules that keep every pool fixed regardless of results; index governance; versioning and notice; and the correction policy under which no published value is restated.
